DROSS DC MCB 63A 1 Pole 600V – Solar DC Circuit Breaker
DROSS DC MCB 63A 1 Pole 600V is designed to provide reliable protection for DC electrical circuits against overload and short-circuit conditions. Its compact DIN rail design makes installation easy and suitable for solar PV systems, DC distribution boxes, battery systems, inverters and other DC applications.
The 63A current rating makes it suitable for higher-current DC circuits, while the 1 Pole configuration provides compact and efficient circuit protection. Built for dependable operation, this DC miniature circuit breaker can also be used for circuit isolation during maintenance.
Key Features:
• Rated Current: 63A
• Rated Voltage: Up to 600V DC
• Number of Poles: 1 Pole (1P)
• Designed for overload and short-circuit protection
• DIN Rail mounting for easy installation
• Compact and durable construction
• Suitable for Solar PV, DCDB, Battery and Inverter applications
• Convenient ON/OFF operation for circuit isolation
Compatibility: which system does it fit?
- Voltage: DC systems up to 600V DC. The maximum open-circuit voltage (Voc) of your panel string should stay below 600V.
- Current: up to 63A. Choose a rating about 125% of your normal circuit current, and never above your cable's rating.
- Where it fits: solar PV strings, DCDB boxes, battery-to-inverter circuits, and 12V / 24V / 48V DC systems.
- 1 Pole: switches off one DC line. If you want to isolate both positive and negative together, choose the 2 Pole version.
- Mounting: standard DIN rail.
Solar installer guide: which protection to choose?
| Where in your system | What to use |
|---|---|
| Each panel string, before the combiner box or DCDB | DROSS ZYPV-32X fuse holder (1000V DC, 32A) with a 10×38mm PV fuse link |
| Switching off or isolating a DC circuit (string, DCDB, inverter input) | DROSS DC MCB 63A, 1 Pole or 2 Pole (600V DC) |
| Battery to inverter circuit (higher current) | DROSS DC MCB 125A, 1 Pole |
| Surge and lightning protection at the DCDB or inverter DC input | DROSS DC SPD-40 (Type 2, 600V DC) |
Simple rules: keep your system's maximum DC voltage below the device's voltage rating. Choose the DC MCB current rating about 125% of the normal circuit current (not above your cable's rating), and choose string fuses as per your panel datasheet. Not sure?
